Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and RidgeTop Internet, LLC ("we", "us") for your use of Herd Tender, the herd management web app at herd-tender.hayloftapps.com ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Give a real email address and keep your password private. You're responsible for everything done under your account.
- One account holds one operation's records. The person who creates it is the account owner, and only the owner can manage billing or delete the account.
- Tell us promptly at ridgetopinternet@gmail.com if you think someone has gotten into your account.
2. Free trial
New accounts get a 30-day free trial with full access. No payment card is needed to start it. When the trial ends, access pauses until you subscribe. Your records are kept, and you can still download a backup.
3. Subscription and billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, at the price and interval (for example monthly or yearly) shown on the Billing page when you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- If you subscribe during your free trial, the trial still runs its full 30 days and your first charge is on the day it ends. If you subscribe after the trial, you're charged right away.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time from the Billing page. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: payments aren't refunded, in whole or in part, including for unused time after you cancel or delete your account, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, you keep access for 7 days while you update your card. After that, access pauses until payment succeeds.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before any price change affects your subscription. You can cancel before it takes effect.
- Promotion codes, discounts and any complimentary access are at our discretion and may end as described when they're offered.
4. Your data
- You own your data. Everything you enter or upload is yours: animal records, photos, receipts, finances and notes.
- You give us permission to store, process, back up and display your data only as needed to run the Service for you. This includes reading the text on receipts you scan.
- You can download a backup of your data at any time from Settings, including after your trial ends or your subscription lapses.
- Shared report links: anyone who has a report link you create can view that report without signing in, until you turn the link off. Only share links with people you trust.
- Deleting your account: you can permanently delete your account from Settings. This erases your records, photos, receipts and any backups stored on our server, and it cannot be undone or recovered, even if you ask us. Download a backup first if you might want your data later.
- Keep your own backups of anything important. We take care with your data, but no service can promise it will never be lost.
5. Not veterinary, medical or financial advice
Herd Tender is a record-keeping tool. Its calculators, dosage and unit conversions, due-date estimates, reminders and reports are conveniences, not professional advice. They're only as accurate as the information entered. Always confirm medication doses, withdrawal times, breeding decisions and animal health questions with a licensed veterinarian, and financial or tax matters with a qualified advisor. You're responsible for decisions you make about your animals and your business.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights
- upload malware, or anything you don't have the right to share
- try to get into other people's accounts or data, probe or overload the Service, or get around its limits or security
- resell or rebrand the Service, or scrape it with automated tools
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Herd Tender running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". There may be interruptions for maintenance, updates or problems outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice, if possible, so you can download your data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or harm to animals
- our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service, cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 4 (your data), 5, 8 and 10 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
10. General
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there.
- Changes to these terms: we may update these terms. For any significant change, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away doesn't waive it.
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
